Sewing in Whitby! Our studio is located at 117 Brock Street South, 2nd Floor!
Wow! It’s been a hot minute since we lasted posted on the blog, huh?
First of all, sorry about that! There really is no excuse other than that we have been so busy at the studio, season after season and year after year that we haven’t really been able to keep up with the blog. We’ve been focusing on printing patterns, cutting, sewing, stitch ripping and more.
Things have definitely changed since our last post in 2023 (whoops!) but in a really really good way. We have long-term programs like Sew Happy and Teen Atelier which have been an absolute hit with youth, pre-teens and teens in the Durham region. Students start at the very beginning, but the end goal is to have them sewing up patterns and garments like the fashion designers they are!
And for the adults - we are still your studio if you’re interested in learning the basics OR hoping to build upon your current skills with either our Sewing+DIY PLUS or PRO programs. Our next session begins in the new year (January 2026), but if you’re itching to sew right this minute - you can inquire about private lessons!
If you are new to the studio, here are a couple of things you might want to know :
You don’t need a machine! Our studio is equipped with everything you need.
Our classes are small : we seat up to 8 people per class, and for classes over 6 people, we usually have an assistant instructor join in!
We welcome students from age 7 to 70+ … never to late to start!
We are fashion focused!
