A weekly 70-minute session and a chance for teens to explore fashion, style, and build their own wardrobe though sustainable means. Students must have previous sewing experience through our Sew Happy or Sewing+DIY program.

• FOR CONFIDENT BEGINNERS, ages 11-13, teaching all about sustainable fashion with easy upcycling projects.

• FOR INTERMEDIATES, ages 14-17, the ability to explore more complex upcycling patterns and ideas

• FOR TRUE UPCYCLERS : encouraging sewists to bring in their thrifted finds and hand-me downs and changing them into ON TREND items. The focus here is creative control!

• Over the course of 10 months, students will progress from confident sewists to designers!

• Working with sewing machines and the right tools, students will practice sewing for fashion while learning all the skills to create, alter, or upcycle and finish new-to-them pieces. Students may even construct brand new garments while using reclaimed fabrics.

  Registration Fee : $95 plus HST
  Monthly Fee : $80 plus HST per month.
  Fees will be charged at the start of each month between September to June.
  

Classes will begin the week of September 8, 2025 and the last class will be during the week of Monday June 15, 2026.

CLOSURES+HOLIDAYS :
We follow the standard school year program and statutory holiday calendar.
The studio and any regular programming will be closed during holiday Mondays and/or Fridays.

THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES over the Winter Holiday Break and March Break.
